CNY is just 2 days away, are you done with shopping, spring cleaning your house, baking cookies and filling red packets with moolah? This year, I only managed to go to Pavillion to have a look at its CNY decor cause I heard there was a gigantic dragon in the center court!

Here's a few shots that I managed to get :D

The entrance looks so China Town-ish, I like!

They have golden lanterns instead of red ones this year.

So this is the dragon that people has been talking about, ROARRRR!

I'm really excited for this year's CNY cause I will be celebrating it with the paternal's side relatives in Kuching this year. It's been a while since we were there. I think I've been on CNY mood since the beginning of the year :P Here I am right now at the airport, waiting for my flight to KCH at 3.30pm. Can't wait to see my family again!!

So to those who is driving or flying back home this weekend, have a safe journey and a great reunion with your family (: Dong dong dong qiang, the mighty year of Dragon awaits!

Phototalkz Personalized Calendar (Part II)

In case you're wondering, I'm still kicking and trying hard to be alive. Been bogged down with this hectic clinical placement that I rarely have the time to sleep, what more to blog. 7 more days yes 7 more days to FREEEEEEEDOM! It's been weeks after my last update even my classmates complained about it HAHA so here goes.. *obviously trying to clear a list of pending posts*

From the title of my post, you guys who have guess that this post will be about the end product of the calendar I've design myself! Still remember the tutorial on how to design your own personalized calendar HERE? I've actually received it last two weeks, pretty efficient I must say (Y)

The calendar turned out way better than I expected except for one flaw but I'm totally impressed with the vibrant colour and clear photos *jaw drops* Now this is what we call QUALITY! (Y)(Y) I keep flipping the calendar over and over again ♡♡♡ I can now haz my very own cool customized calendar, produced by one and only me :D I may not be the most creative people on earth, but I like what I created HEH so tell me, nice or not?! ~~I don't take no as an answer LOLOL~~ I shall start doodling and scribbling on the boxes of those important dates, one of my fave things to do during pastime, lame right I know. With this calendar, I bet 2012 is gonna be even awesome-r (;

The thickness paper is just nice to me and the paper is soooo smooth to ~~caress~~ touch at.

January Blues

It's that time of every semester again where I'm required to go for clinical placement at either a government or private hospital for four weeks. This time round, I'm posted at Kuala Lumpur General Hospital (HKL). A place where most the students dread to go, including myself. Most of our seniors and some of my classmates have been there and judging by their experiences, it sounded stressful and hectic. True story.

I have to wake up as early as 4.30am to catch the Uni bus at 6am. I guess it's time to adjust my bedtime to 9pm (omg I'm back to those years when I was a schoolkid!) and I guess this blog will be abandoned for quite some time.. Working hours: 8am to 5.30pm. We are required to hand in patient's record book daily and reflective diary once a week. We'll have one hour of lab skills session every day as well. We are required to memorize the entire 3 protocol care booklets' content in case the HOD questions any of us. Like seriously? Since I'll be on cardiorespiratory posting this time, I'll be handling most of my patients in the wards more often. Let's hope all those walking in the wards helps to shed some kilos since I've got no time for gym for this one whole month :P Yet on the bright side, I'll be seeing patients with different and rare cases compared to other hospitals no doubt. Hopefully I'll be able to overcome my fear to do suctioning on at least one patient if I'm allowed to do so, you don't even wanna know what suctioning is. Oh and my lecturers will be visiting twice a week, so it wouldn't be that bad ey? (:

My biggest wish is that I will survive. I may be discouraged or criticized at times but I guess that's the way of learning and gaining knowledge. Got this quote from a site saying that; By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest. I'll try to be optimistic and see things in different perspective. Never give up. To fall and get back up on my own. #2012resolutions Hopefully I'll survive and standing still at the end of the posting. I am not quite sure if I'm ready physically or emotionally but hell yeah bring it on!

January's going to be a wild ride. Wish me luck!

New Year Countdown

Happy New Year earthlings! So how has your first day of 2012 been so far? :D

Hopefully everyone had a blast celebrating New Year's countdown wherever you were last night cause I did! The boyf brought me to Desa Parkcity last night, according to him the fireworks there was really awesome since he has been there for two years in a row for NYE. Both of us hated jam so much that we tried to avoid going for countdown at malls like The Curve or Sunway Pyramid, even getting out of the carpark would take ages.

We headed out around 10-ish after our dinner with his family. We parked at the shoplots, slightly further from DPC to avoid the after party traffic jam. It took us around 15 mins to reach DPC lake by foot.

We didn't know that they was a mini concert at the carpark, so we went over to ~~kepo~~ have a look.

So there was this dance competition, dance performances and a band called THUNDERSTORMS entertaining the crowd. They sang a few of Pitbull's songs like Rain Over Me, On The Floor, Give me Everything Tonight and Bad Romance by Lady Gaga.

What's so fun about spraying it around huh? Come I spray it into your mouth like whipped cream, you want? UGH

Anyways, I shall not let this ruin my new year. It should be a happy new year, a fresh start and a new beginning. Here's to a great, peaceful and merry year ahead! All hail 2012, please be nice ✌

This would be my last post of YEAR 2011 cause it's NYE already!

For a lazy bum like me, I couldn't be bothered to dig out photos from my albums and to recall back what happened throughout the year just to write a detailed summary of 2011 or else there will be too much to write about. I guess from now onwards, I'll just stick to the simpler version like how I wrote last year HERE.

December has finally come to its end, I'll see you next year! I can't believe that 2011 is ending in few hours times cause it felt like 2011 just started yesterday, man! Time flies real fast this year without me even realising. And who knows, the next thing happened I'm turning 21, no freaking way.

So here goes, my simple summary of 2011.
In 2011, I:
was back in my hometown for New Year
celebrated Valentine's Day with the baby boy ♥
won 1.5k from Nuffnang for the F&N Magnolia Sherbet contest (Y)
bought my very own and first camera, CANON G12!
wrote my first advertorial

Overall, I couldn't ask for a better 2011 cause frankly speaking 2011 has by far been one of the great year with more UPs than downs (: Smooth sailing I would say. I'm thankful for my family and amazing friends who never left me and will always have my back, good health and average results in studies. What more could I ask for? Maybe more wealth HAHAHA don't tell me you wouldn't want that *points around*

I guess I wouldn't be setting any resolution for 2012 cause I never seem to fulfill my resolutions by the end of every year so why not have a change in 2012, going all resolution-less :P But definitely I'll have goals to achieve which I'll think of later...

Phototalkz Personalized Calendar

2012 is just 3 days away, so have you get yourself a 2012 Calendar? I've always have the habit of having a calendar, a desk calendar to be exact to keep track with my schedule, events, holidays and most importantly birthdays! I can scribble and doodle on those small boxes of the marked dates, which pretty much explains the reason I prefer desk calendar than the calendar apps in my phone. Big thanks to Elwyn & JigoCity, I get to design my own personalized portrait calendar all in the name of fun!

I was given a user guide on how to use the Phototalkz software in a PDF file in order to make this whole calendar making process as easy as ABC! The manual was straight forward and easy to understand with photos attached plus the software itself is user friendly (:

First and foremost, you'll need to install the Phototalkz software from www.phototalkz.com.my.

Click “Free download for PC window version to start downloading at your desktop.

Then, just like any other softwares that you've downloaded, do the usual drills to install the software.

Click Next, Next and Install to start to installing process. Upon successful, click Finish! *sucesskid.jpg*

Then you'll have this orange icon on your desktop and let the calendar designing adventure begins :D

Double click it to start the application.

Next, you'll have to
#1. Click [Yes] to check for checking of update.
#2. Click [Yes] to view the new items that detected.

#3. Check the component/(s) that you wish to update. (I actually clicked everything LOL)
#4. Click [Install]
#5. Updating in Process....
#6. Click [Finish] to complete the download process.

And voila, you'll be brought to this window that has two options. Click on Create New Project.

Secondly, choose the type of PHOTOTALKZ item (s) that you wish to order, which is the Calendar 150(W)X210(H) then click NEXT.

Thirdly, add in as many photos as you want using the button shown by the red arrow. Click NEXT to continue.

After that, you get to select your options for calendar; the start month, number of months, first day of the week and language. Lastly, enter your project name and off you go to start designing your very own calendar!

What I meant by user friendly is that they provide you with assistance and tips beforehand (Y)

This is how the dashboard looks like, you'll design the front cover first, drag the photo from the left column into the blank column in the middle. You can choose the page layout, background, photo frames, marks and even decorating items such as buttons, ribbons, sticky note from the tab below the middle column. You can add as many photo as you want and unlimited words to make your personalized calendar even more interesting! I've added ~~vain~~ photos of myself *cough* and as well as my loved ones according to their birth month and my anniversary with boyf ( ^ ω ^ ) now I won't forget any of the important dates.

This is my front cover (; and the column above shows the other 12 months of your calendar.

Once you're done designing your calendar, now you can place your order but clicking the green shopping cart button.

A Flightcheck Result window will appear to scan through your calendar to see if there's any error or low quality photos before sending it off for printing. Now this is what they call quality service! *double thumbs up* If there's any error found, they will require you to fix it or else you're good to continue and tick at the box that you've read the terms and condition. Assuming that you've read (We all know we don't :P), there will be a window popping out requires you to log in your ID and password.

I guess most of us would be a first timer so you'll need to create and account, filled in relevant details in the form provided yadaa yadaa yadaa you know the usual drill.

Once the account is created, you'll have to enter the quantity of calendar you would want to print, check through the billing and shipping adress, select the shipping mode and last but not least the payment mode. Once the payment is made, an order number will be generated.

Back to the Phototalkz Taopix Software, you'll need to upload finished pages so that your project will be uploaded to their server and they will arrange for the production of the project. Lastly, they will send you an email when everything is settled. All is well *successkid.jpg*

So, all I have to do now is to wait for the mailman #likeaboss. I'm uber excited to see the end result!!! Not sure how long will it takes for the production and shipping as it is not stated but hopefully it will come by next month :D Till then, I'll blog about the outcome of my very own customized 2012 calendar.

Malam Festival Seni & Anugerah Dekan 2011

Approximately two weeks back, I was cordially invited by the Department of Environmental Health (EH) to join their big event of the year; Festival Night and Dean's Award 2011. In short, it was actually a night to show their appreciation for the top scorers (CGPA > 3.7) from every batches and also to gather all of them together for this big event.

Malam Festival Seni & Anugerah Dekan 2011 (Jabatan Kesihatan Persekitaran)
Venue: MAHSA Auditorium (JUC Campus)
Date: 14th December 2011
Time: 8pm - 11pm
Dress Code: Traditional Clothing

This event is organized by their Student Representative Committee 2010/11.

The stage is decorated with gongs and other traditional musical instruments.

At 8pm sharp, we welcomed the arrival of Guest of Honour, Mr. Haw Ai Beng.

and Tuan Hj Ibrahim from the EH Department.

Kickstart the event by a silat performance by two of their students (:

Saw some action in between until one of them is brought down, just like any typical silat performance.

Followed by a welcoming speech by Puan Siti Nurhidayah Bt. Rostam, the Advisor of the Student Representative Committee of EH Department.

Opening Speech by Mr Haw Ai Beng, the Head of Department (HOD) of EH Department.

And thus he officiated the Festival Night and Dean's Award for Year 2011 and to dissolve the Representative Student Committee 2010/11.

Heartiest congratulation to those who received the Dean's Award, keep up the good work! :D

There was also 3 slots of lucky draw in between, too bad I'm not lucky enough that night.

Here comes the highlight of the night that everyone has been waiting for, even myself. The festival night performances now begins!

#1. Indian Stick Dance (Dandiya Raas)

The beat of the songs were catchy and the dancers were really energetic, I bet everyone felt pumped up after the performance by the applause the audience gave (Y)

#2. The Orang Ulu Traditional Dance

Orang Ulu is an ethnic designation politically coined to group together roughly 27 very small but ethnically diverse tribal groups in Sarawak. It looks a tad similar to Ngajat (Iban Traditional Dance) to me, correct me if I'm wrong. The props they used are actually handmade, I can tell it's not easy.

#3. Instrumental Performance

They played a number of old songs using their guitars, the only song I recognized was Bunyi Guitar by P.Ramlee.

#4. Chinese Fan Dance

Graceful and sweet. Some of them aren't even Chinese but they can dance our chinese dance so well! Besides lion dance, this is the only Chinese dance I know. Is there any other Chinese dance? #failedchinese

#5. Folk Song

I can't find any better translation other than Folk Song -_- So what made this nyanyian lagu rakyat so interesting is that this creative quadruplet made a medley out of a few folk songs such as Rasa Sayang, Jambatan Tamparuli, Lenggang Kangkung & Tinggi tinggi Gunung.

#6. Nyanyian Lagu Irama Malaysia

Another fantastic show from another quartet, they have really great voice (:

#7. Tarian Zapin

When you have Chinese and Indian dance, how can you not have Malay Traditional Dance? Tarian Zapin is one of them. I'm really amazed by how coordinated and entertaining their dance is despite of the large number of people dancing together.

#8. Sketch

It was a blend of a comedy sketch with moral values. It was enlightening and tickling my funny bone at the same time. I think those students can be actors as well as their part time job perhaps? :P

#9. Sabah & Sarawak Traditional Ethnic Dance

This dance is definitely something new for me but I still enjoy it thoroughly (:

#10. Traditional Clothing Fashion Show (Peragaan Busana Tradisional)

The MCs of the night; they are humourous, especially the guy MC and they never fail to interact with the audiences. Kudos to them for such an interesting night.

They portrayed different costumes from different ethnics and races such as Orang Ulu, Bidayuh, Kadazan, Orang Iban, Chinese, Malay and Indian as well. They are even asked to posed several times :P With this fashion show, the event has finally come to an end.

All in all, I'm really impressed with all of their performances, never knew that there are so many talented yet bright student from the EH Department. I was blown away and I truly enjoyed myself the whole night. Most of them are originates from East Malaysia, thus explains the variety of cultural performances they managed to pull off, especially more on the culture of Sabah and Sarawak. It is really an eye opener as well to the West Malaysians student as many of them are not aware of our East Malaysian's culture. Frankly speaking, I'm so proud to be a Sarawakian knowing that my state is rich with different cultures and ethnics. I really hope this will be an annual event in the future or maybe an event that involves the whole Uni instead of only EH Department to let everyone especially the international student to know more about the various cultures in Malaysia.

Now back to the MiRRORs Ambassadors Search 2011/12 I mentioned earlier..After four months of searching, MiRRORs will present to you *drum rolls* The Grand Final of Mirrors Ambassador Search for year 2011/12,

It started off by running road shows at selected local universities around Klang Valley for recruitment of contestants. Mirrors managed to enlist 482 beautiful young girls to be in the running for the Top 25 semi-finalist. These girls are from Universities such as INTI College, KLIUC, Taylor’s University, UCSO, MMU, Stamford College, Segi College, Binary University, TAR College and SunwayCollege.

The Top 25 semi-finalist selected had gone through a Phase 2 voting session and activities pumping them through in hoping of being in the Top 12 finalist. The semi-final event was held on the 4-6 November 2011 at Fahrenheit88, Kuala Lumpur. After three days of hard work, Mirrors Top 12 finalists were announced bringing them one step closer to be Mirrors Next Ambassador.

I now present you the 12 beautiful young ladies, finalists who are in the running for the MiRRORs Ambassadors Search 2011/12 Grand Finale!

Thank JQ Lee for the invite, it was a pleasure to be able to meet some of them in person in the pre-final introduction and food review event which I will blog about later. Most of them are aged 19, really young ladies I would say.

For the Grand Final of Mirrors Ambassador Search 2011/12, the Top 12 will not only be judged through online voting but also through ground voting and their performance evaluation by Mirrors special judges. Other than the highlight of the event, there will also be flash mob, fashion show and announcement of Mirrors side contest organized along with the Ambassador Search.

Mirrors Ambassador Search 2011/12 Grand Final will be held on 11th January 2012, Wednesday at Zouk Club KL. So be sure to mark your calendar, you won't wanna miss this event!

I've always love Midvalley's Xmas Decoration because it is always different from others. So let's check out this year's xmas deco.

Sarawak Laksa & Kolo Mee @ Taman Megah

One of the food that a Sarawakian can't live without would be the famous Laksa Sarawak, I can assure you that. Sarawak Laksa tastes nothing like the Penang Laksa, Johor Laksa or whatever Laksa you have out there. Its taste is really one of a kind that I can't find a way to describe it. I guess you have to try it to know it. For my case, I only get to fly back home maybe twice a year so constantly I have this huge craving for Laksa Sarawak which I can hardly get here in KL. Thank God for this stall in Taman Megah, I get to fulfill my cravings yesterday, like finally.

I heard that this couple who operates this stall originates from Kuching and hence bringing this well-known Sarawakian specialty all the way from the east.

Sarawak Kolo Mee @ RM4.50 (small) topped with slices of char siew and minced pork.

But overall, the kolo mee tasted really authentic like the one you can get in Sarawak. Even the noodles are exactly the same, the egg noodles from Sarawak. It's not like those typical noodles you have for wantan mee. The elastic and springy texture of the noodles is definitely the oomph. It's fragrant and flavourful to my liking, not too oily as well. It would be even better if it's served with the sour vinegar chili YUMS I would give a two thumbs up for this! (Y)(Y) I realised that most of the patrons that goes to this coffee shop order this kolo mee, so it must be undeniably good. Even Joeann who tried this for the first time likes it :D

And not forgetting, Laksa Sarawak *tears of joy* You have no idea how happy I was!

Served with shredded omelette and chicken, bite-sized prawns and vermicelli (beehoon). You can opt to have the laksa with the egg noodles as well. But then, why no bean sprouts? T_T

Of course, it wouldn't be complete without the sambal belacan and lime. I must say, the sambal belacan tasted like the original one as well, impressive!

And as for the broth, it was okay. Wish it would be a tad more thicker, couldn't compare with those back at home in terms of flavour and aroma but I've got no complains, still good enough to satisfy my cravings! *rubs tummy*

Even writing this post makes me craving for it again T_T I'll definitely coming back again, but bringing few of my friends next time. How can I not introduce them this awesome food ┌ (˘⌣˘) ┐ Kolo Mee and Sarawak Laksa FTW!!

X'mas Decoration in Sunway Pyramid

Before going to Umami for dinner last Monday, few of my classmates and I dropped by at Sunway Pyramid before that to walk around yet I still ended up splurging a little. I know, bad bad Hilda T_T But that's not the whole point of this post. Where were we? Oh yes, as we all know Christmas is just around the corner (DUH), so most of the shopping complexes are now brightly lit with Christmas decorations \(￣︶￣)/ I can smell Christmas in the air #sniff

Here we go again.. It's the most beautiful time of the year. Lights fill the streets spreading so much cheer ♫♪ #happydance #justinbiebermodeon Oh wait, moving on.

Umami House of Steamboat

Last Monday was the day most Cohort4 students have been anticipating for to hand in our assignment, which also marked the end of our Sem3! Hello once again stress-free life (just for December) and we definitely deserve some celebration after those sleepless nights and depletion of brain cells due to the gruesome exam periods.

This time round, I organized a steamboat buffet dinner at Umami after reading quite a number of good reviews.

Umami is a steamboat buffet restaurant located in Sunway Mentari. We serve a large variety of fresh seafood, BBQ, vegetables, meat balls, drinks, fruits and desserts in a cozy environment. — Umami FB page

I made a reservation a day before since we're going in such a big group, 25 pax. and thus we get to dine in the VIP room #likeaboss cause we're awesome like that HAHA so not! Or else we will scare their customers away cause we were real loud and noisy :P

Once we were seated, we get to choose 2 soup base per pot out of 6 soup base:

Thai Tomyam Soup (✔)

I tried the Umami Pepper Soup as well but it was too pepper-ish, tasted literally like a bottle of pepper mixed with water. The soup base tasted just okay, not flavourful enough to my liking.

While waiting for our soup to be prepared, we went to get our ingredient for the steamboat.

You find yourself spoiled with an assortment of raw seafood, greens, frozen food and noodles! So many to choose from ╮((゜∀゜))╭

Drinks (Pu-er Tea, Ice Lemon Tea and Orange Juice) and ice provided as well. It'd would be better if they serve hot tea.

There's also a salad bar for starters! Love how colouful they presented it. Thumbs up for their salad, especially the egg salad and their sweet juicy cherry tomatoes (:

There's snack bars too. The deep fried squid ball and fried wantan are simply awesome, crispy to bits!

Variety of condiments to go with our food, I personally love the thai sauce, so appetizing.

Without further ado, time to dig in the pot of treasure!

Look at the truckload amount of food we took, as if we have been fasting for weeks :P

Not forgetting, there's beef (MY FAV!) and lamb strips too! (Y)

Too bad the lamb was not marinated so the gamey smell was too strong that it actually ruined the whole broth, had to request another new pot of soup. The beef was okay though.

The feast doesn't end here, there's also grilled food prepared by the staff outside ranging from chicken wings to seafood.

Not sure what type of clam is this, pretty chewy. I like (:

Their superb fingers-licking-good grilled chicken wings; to die for! Well marinated and coated with bbq honey sauce. How I wish my tummy is big enough to eat more of them T_T

How can I miss the icecream.. Chocalate chips and raspberry swirl vanilla icecream HO YEAH

Ais Kacang for free upon ordering from the staff (: I didn't get to try this so I'm not sure how does it taste.

After 2 hours plus of laughter and non stop stuffing ourselves with food, I guess everyone must be super bloated :D Good thing that Umami has no time limit so you can eat all you want and all you can without time constrain.

Since it was a Monday night, we were entitled to have the BUY 2 FREE 1 promotion (also available on Wed night). After all the calculation and stuff, we only need to pay RM20.10 per person and that's even cheaper than the normal price! Super worth it for the amount of food they offered, totally wallet friendly for students like us (:

It was overall a satisfying dinner but some of the seafood aren't that fresh. Hopefully they will continue to improve in term of food quality. However, their service on the other hand is really impressive. Fast and friendly. Their staffs are really attentive, always keeping an eye on your table to clear all the used plates. I love their comfortable and clean ambiance too and they have really a lot of tables available so I guess no worries on not getting seats but it's still advisable to do reservation if you're going in a large group.

Delicious Cafe @ One Utama

Another outdated post back in November, my lovelies and I were out for a lunch date to catch up with each other since all of us has been pretty busy. I was still on my finals period but for them girls, I will definitely make time for them (:

Being the usual indecisive us, ended up having lunch at Delicious, Belinda's current favourite restaurant. She's been talking about it so we decided to have a try since none of us has been there before.

“Delicious started as a cosy tearoom in 1 Utama Shopping Centre with just a few items on its menu in 2004. Even though its location was not prominent, news of its delicious wholesome food spread like wildfire through word-of-mouth. Soon, the thriving café was packed to the seams with families and young professionals looking for the comfort of homemade food served up.

Soon, a second outlet sprouted up in Bangsar Village and now there are five Delicious cafes in the Klang Valley with one more opening in Penang at Straits Quay, Sri Tanjung Pinang in May 2011.

Its menu has blossomed into a veritable treasure house of western and local favourites and satisfies the palates of its diners from breakfast till late supper.

Word has it that more Delicious cafes are springing up in the Klang Valley and other parts of Malaysia and Singapore so that more food loving folks will have a taste of Delicious' simply sumptuous dishes. — Delicious's official website

Carbonara Spaghettini with Wild Mushrooms, Beef Bacon, Oregano & Cream @ RM23.90

Both Joeann and I ordered this. If you still remember, I've always have this thing for Carbonara, so it is a must order for me sometimes. Coincidentally, I was craving for it as well. The portion is quite big and the gravy is thick and creamy enough to my liking (Y) but somehow I still think that it's lack of something, a taste in particularly. Overall it was still good, I love it!

Mama's Beef Bolognese Spaghettini @ RM19.90

Close up; look at the generous amount of minced beef and Parmesan cheese. I must say this dish is superb! The beef is cooked to perfection and the gravy is the oomph, not too watery or thick. I can still remember the taste of it, definitely one of the best bolognese I've ever tried!

Now this is definitely something special, fusion of Italian pasta with local ingredients. Too bad it was too spicy where you can literally find seeds of chili padi inside the spaghettini. The portion may look deceiving but it was quite fulfilling (:

Blackberry Apple Crumble with Vanilla Ice Cream @ RM10.90

Warm crumbles that goes with the cold smooth ice cream; ahhhh to die for.

Fillings of the crumbs was not too sweet and there's a lot of blackberries inside as you dig in.

We ~~licked~~ finished the mouth watering dessert till it's thoroughly clean

Unfortunately the system was down the that day so they had to do billing the conventional way, how cool :P

Bird cages are common sight when you're at Delicious cafe, one of their trademark I suppose.

Despite of the numbers of bad reviews that I've heard concerning Delicious cafe, somehow I think it's not that bad. Service wise, I think they could be better and the food is as delicious as it sounds (Y) although the food is a tad pricey. I like it and will definitely come back for a second visit, especially for their desserts. They have red velvet cake as well! Besides pasta and western cuisine, they do serve an assortment of food as well ranging from local delicacies to burgers, and even kids meal.

It's already the second day of December.. too late to say #hellodecember? The last month of 2011...soon to be 2012.

Currently addicted to A Thousand Years by Christina Perri; the aftermath of #twilightbreakingdawnfever and I keep it in re-pe-pe-peat..

Been living a life where time is never enough for the past few weeks, trying to juggle between finals and distractions (read: social networks) and those what's not. Procrastinator will still be procrastinator after all. Yet I'm glad I'm done with my theory and VIVA examination (I passed!!!!), at least my hard work and effort are all ultimately paid off. So I'm now left with my assignment that dues on Monday. Bangun pagi, siap assignment, tidur, bangun keesokan hari tak siap siap lagi assignment -_- I’ll prolly blog soon with proper updates after Monday. Srsly can’t stop complaining about how finals took my social life away, been missing out on so much events FML Even blog traffic drops like mad. Readers, Y U NO love me? ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)

Speaking of which, Christmas is just around the corner so I shall not ruin this lovely month with my rants. It's the most beautiful time of the year ♩♫ *singing Justin Bieber's Mistletoe* December is the month with festive season full of joy and happiness, I just can't wait for this week to end and I've already have so much in mind for my post-finals celebrations HO YEAH Pampering sesh, retail therapy, and most importantly seeing my family and spending time with my loved ones! These are the only few things that keep me motivated to finish up my assignment and yes I'll be back!

Somehow I'm taking a break longer than the time I actually spend on doing my assignments -_- I'm stuck halfway now that explains my existence here blogging. ~~happily~~

The Meat Experts (TME)

Hello earthlings!

It's the last day of November tomorrow and I just realised that I've been blogging mostly about my 3D2N Malacca trip this whole month and it's not even done yet (one more day to go). Blame finals! Thus, I shall put my Malacca travel post on hold so that it no longer bore the hell out of you guys (: plus I've quite a lot of recent stuff that's happening throughout November to blog about.

Earlier this month, on the 4th to be exact, I finally had the time to have a breakfast date with two of my lovelies @ The Meat Experts (TME), Sri Hartamas Shopping Complex before going present hunting for Belinda. We actually bought this breakfast deal from Groupon somewhere in September.

Made reservation at 10am but as usual we ended up late, an HOUR late #likeaboss so I think it's more like a brunch instead of breakfast date.

Overall, it was a pleasant brunch and the portion was just nice. They have friendly service too (Y) Besides breakfast, TME serves loads of other food such as sandwiches, pies and pasta. They offers corporate catering and even customize your own sausage as well, how cool is that! It is stated there that Wi-Fi is available, but somehow we couldn't find any that day. Craving for meat or a meat lover? You gotta ask the expert for sure (; Beside being a meat expert, they have a wide variety of cheese too.

Seafood @ Portugese Settlement

One of the makan(read: eat) spot in Malacca that shall not be missed would be the Portugese Settlement, if you're a seafood lover cause that's what it's famous for! It is located in Ujong Pasir, approximately 5km away from the Malacca City. There will be a row of stalls starting from 1 to 10, the local favourite stalls would be 1 and 7. For drinks, make sure you order your mango juice from Joe’s Only One Mango Juice which located at the far end of stall no 10 as it is recommended by many on 4sq!

Once you arrived, there will be people from each store who tries to approach you and drag you to their stall, which made quite a scene and scared the hell outta me! :O Seriously it is super annoying! Why can't we choose on our own -_-

Sadly Stall 1 was closed that day so we settled at Stall 8, Restoran De Costa's Portugese Food.

The otak otak was tasteless; nothing can ever beat Otak Otak from Muar.

The belacan didn't even taste like belacan, this dish is utterly disappointing.

I never knew that Ikan Bakar in Malacca has gravy, I was expecting dry ikan bakar with sambal on top. The gravy tasted one kind too, MEH.

Butter garlic prawn @ RM22.50 (Two person portion)
Probably the only edible and best dish that night. The prawns was crispy on the outside and tender inside, quite fresh too YUMS :9

Damage of the night would be RM72.50 inclusive of 3 drinks and 2 bowls of rice. I don't think I will come back to this stall again, opt for stall no 1 or 4 instead! Try order fried squid or Portuguese baked fish (:

After the dinner, we decided to enjoy the soothing sea breeze by the jetty since we are unwilling to move around with our full tummy. We then spotted a small stall selling firecrackers, fireworks and sparklers. So Kew bought a small bundle of firework sticks and start playing with it.

And somehow..... something happened and Joeann burnt herself LOL There's even a hole on her shoe inner pad!

Kids.. the moral of the story is Don't Play with Fire! :P

Malacca Capitol Satay Celup

I guess my title says it all.

When it comes to Malacca, how can one ever miss the #foreverfamous Satay Celup in the to-eat-list. It's something similar to steamboat or lok-lok, what makes it so unique is the pot of hot boiling peanut sauce that you dip your skewers into. That's how the celup (Read: dip in Bahasa Malaysia) word came from. Satay celup is definitely one of the thing that Malacca is famous for, beside the chicken rice balls.

After the long tiring afternoon at Jonker Walk, we went to Nadeje for a tea break before heading to Capitol around 6pm. We were quite lucky because we got a parking spot just right in front of the shop. The shop is can be easily spotted cause it's a corner shop and due to the size of the shop, the seats are quite limited. It's a good thing that we went there during the weekdays so the queue wasn't that long compared to the crazy long queue during the weekends yet we still ended up waiting for one hour plus! After quite some time, we are actually asked to queue by the narrow road with the cars non stop passing by instead of the corridor, how dangerous!

The Satay Celup that everyone has been talking about!

So near yet so far, it feels like forever to get seats.

Took a sec to camwhore when we were almost at the finish line LOL Look at the tired and hungry faces!

Here we are @ Capitol Satay that has been operating for three generations! They are even claimed to be the origin of Satay Celup in Malacca before other places started the same business.

Once you've been assigned a table, the waitress will took order of your drinks then you're free to choose the skewers you want from shelves of cold storage in one corner of the shop while cleaning up the table and prepare a new pot of peanut sauce.

They have quite a variety of skewers at 80 cent per skewer, ranging from raw meat to fresh seafood.

Since we planned to go for Portugese Settle after that, so we just took a few just for the sake of trying it.

So this is the pot of peanut sauce that I was talking about(!) and this is not just it.

The worker will then come over to add these secret ingredients to the pot of peanut sauce; sugar, spice and ~~everything nice~~crushed ground peanut. Stir it well and....

VOILA!

I know it doesn't look that appetizing but the peanut sauce tasted okay. Thick, aromatic and slightly sweet but sadly the taste is not that memorable. I actually forgot how it taste like, maybe it's just like any typical peanut sauce you have with satay.

Walls filled with photos of the famous celebrities that visited the shop with the owner. I even heard Yao Ming was here before, are you kidding me?

Quite a creative way to list out the prices, I would say.

IMHO, I think Capitol Satay Celup is quite overrated and it's not as awesome as I expected. It might be probably because of the long hours of waiting and the crowd or maybe that's how satay celup taste like. Somehow the taste of peanut sauce was slightly too overpowering for my liking. I will still recommend you to try if you've never try it before, no harm trying something new for sure :D cause for the variety and quality of skewers wise, Capitol will still be the best.

Besides Capitol, there's another places like Ban Lee Siang and McQuek Satay Celup that sell Satay Celup too.

So now when people talk about satay celup, I can say it out loudly that I tried it before! *both hands up*

I suppose everyone know what Durex is.. Durex is the global leader and world’s number one condom brand. It has been the first choice of protection from unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections for over 80 years.

Kuala Lumpur, 14 November 2011 – The government has recently announced that between 2006 and 2010, there were 21 recorded cases of students who got pregnant out of marriage. Statistics from the Welfare Department revealed that this year, from January to April, 111 young girls were pregnant.
High rates of unplanned pregnancies are powerful evidence of the lack of sexual and reproductive health information and education for young people in Malaysia. The need to equip youths with information on sexual reproductive health and inspire them to make informed choices remains a pressing concern.

Sadly but it's the ugly truth that we read about baby dumping cases almost everyday in the newspaper. What have these innocent lives done to deserve such gruesome death? Some are lucky to be found alive, where as some died before having the chance to see the true world.

Therefore, Durex had the commitment to organise Durex College Programme, in hopes to create awareness among youth about sexual health and contraceptive options that leads them to make informed decisions. Themed ‘One Voice, Prevention is Key’, young students between the ages of 18 to 23 years old will be given access to series of information on sexual and reproductive health issues such as unplanned pregnancies, through two platforms – a design contest through a Facebook application and an on-ground college programme.

Note: Don't get us wrong. We are neither promoting premarital sex among the youth nor encouraging youth to have sex but with a condition which is using condom.

The ‘One Voice, Prevention is Key’ college programme kicks off with a design contest that invites contestant to develop their own art and slogans on to a poster or postcard containing their views on unwanted pregnancies. Each message contains a unique thought, motto or design that encapsulates their views regarding unwanted pregnancies. All participants are required to submit their creative design in a format of a picture and upload it on to Durex Malaysia Facebook fan page. The winning design in each category with the most number of votes will walk away with an iPad2. Durex will also be giving out five iPod Touch as consolation prizes for each category.

Besides, Durex made their way to 6 other colleges campuses throughout November namely Taylors Lakeside Campus, Universiti Teknologi Mara Shah Alam, Raffles College, INTI International University, Nilai and IACT College to continue its burden in empowering students.

So since IACT College was the nearest to me, I had the chance to pay them a visit last Friday (:

Informational wall filled with ‘Did you know…?’ facts on sex and interactive storytelling depicted through pictures to provide better understanding to the young students. It also helps to increase the comfort level with the subject and provide access for students to seek consultation about sex-related matters in confidence. Saw those photos at the down right corner? Way too gross! *close eyes with name* It's even scarier than the name itself sounds, trust me.

Durex’s main aim is to not only empower youths to create awareness about sexual health and contraceptive options, but also to break the taboo around the issue, to make people more comfortable about the topic.

San Shu Gong 三叔公 @ Jonker Street

So as I've promised, here you go...

Since Jonker 88 was closed, we went to San Shu Gong to quench our thirst instead. San Shu Gong can be easily recognized from far, its a four-storey building painted in red like The Stadhuys. It is located at the other entrance of Jonker Street and just opposite to Chung Wah Chicken Rice Ball shop.

Tons of chinese clay jars arrangely nicely on the shelves, decorated with cute wooden toy characters.

It was fully packed at the ground floor, so we headed up to the first floor.

It says don't miss the Malaccan most authentic dessert, durian chendol! I'm not sure how true is that.

Mix everything together and voila, enjoy the cold icy durian cendol :D I think it tasted okay, nothing to be whoa-ed at. Since I never get to try the one from Jonker 88, I couldn't tell which is nicer *shrugs* Plus, this is my first time trying to! But many have claimed that Jonker 88's one is way better. Die die also must try during my next trip.

Oh, and don't forget to try their The Tree Splashing Honey Lime Juice that tasted sourish sweet; absolutely the perfect thirst quencher on a hot sunny day! Too bad I've no photo of it :P

Not sure what is this, but I think it's a chewy jelly made from gula Melaka.

They are famous for their icy white coffee too! Too bad I'm not a coffee person.

Besides the cafe, San Shu Gong sells delicacies from dodol, sweetheart cakes (or wife cakes), black sesame biscuits, melon seed biscuits to rice bean cakes, chicken biscuits, pineapple tarts and much more.

Jonker Street @ Malacca

After the satisfying breakfast at Ban Hong Xiang Dim Sum Restaurant, we then ventured to Jonker Street by foot which took us about 20 minutes from Gajah Berang. Thank God for the good weather but I ended up sun-kissed after spending the whole day literally under the scorching sun, OUCH. There's nothing much to do at Jonker Street beside hunting for yummy food (cendol, chicken rice ball and etc) & sight seeing (:

“Jonker, Heeren and adjacent streets - This is the residential heart of Old Malacca just west of the Malacca River, with its narrow winding streets, beautifully decorated houses, tiny shops, temples and mosques. The whole area is undergoing a renaissance with new shops, restaurants and hotels catering to tourists mushrooming everywhere. However, the area still has a lot of atmosphere and is worth having a look around. One of the streets in this area is Harmony Street (officially Temple street or Jalan Tokong), so called because it contains the prayer houses of Malaysia's three main faiths - the Cheng Hoon Teng Chinese temple, the Sri Poyatha Vinayagar Moorthi Hindu Temple, and the Kampung Kling Mosque. — Malacca Travel Guide

This street is famous for its antique goods. It is also famous for its carnival-like atmosphere during weekend nights. Too bad we're there during weekdays, so we missed the night version of Jonker Walk T_T

Hint: There's a significant meaning behind each street at Jonker Street, somehow the street names tell their own stories, there's Jalan Tokong, Jalan Gereja, Jalan Hang Lekir and etc. Interesting, no? :D

It's so amazing how they still preserve everything so well and still is an ongoing business. It has been here since the dutch era!

Sadly, I'mma leave this post hanging cause my camera battery died halfway that day so I didn't manage to take any photos of Masjid Kpg Kling, the magnificent Cheng Hoon Teng Temple (青雲亭), Xiang Lin Si Temple (香林寺). Frankly speaking, there was still a lot of other streets that we didnt get to visit that day cause we were running out of time and it started to rain later in the evening. I wish I will get to explore the whole place one day and take every single photos of every corner of every street. & Oh yes to try out Jonker 88 Durian Cendol and Chung Wah Chicken Rice Balls too! I was too engrossed with snapping things around me all day long that I hardly had any group photos of us or self shot photos of myself. Okay, maybe I lied...

Ban Hong Xiang Dim Sum Restaurant

Harrrrrrro people! After procrastinating over the weekend, time to continue on my Malacca trip posts or else it would be never ending.. So where were we? Oh yeah, Day 2!

Since we were super exhausted after being out the whole day on Day 1 and due to the insufficient sleep on the night before, we woke up slightly late that morning and took our sweet time to prepare ourselves, headed out to Malacca Town around 10-ish.

First itinerary of the day would definitely be breakfast! Kew brought us to try Malacca Dim Sum YUMS The place is still packed with patrons of all age when we arrived. Then one of the worker brought us a tray of hot steaming dimsum to choose once we were seated.

Warning: This is a non-halal post.

Dimsum for three!

Century egg porridge topped with chopped spring onions and fried shallots (: Preferably one of the best I've ever tastes, the texture of the porridge is perfect to my liking!

Dimsum wouldn't be complete without Siew Mai (minced pork dumplings)

Fried prawn dumplings, I like this the most. Crispy and filling omnomnomz

Stewed Chicken Feet, I had this all to myself *licks fingers and thumb*

Sweet and sour pork wrapped with tofu skin; juicy and tender. One of my fave too!

Sesame seed balls with lotus paste. FYI, I hate sesame seed so I didn't try this at all :P

Fried carrot cake. Not bad but it would be better if it's served hot.

Chee cheong fun filled with shrimps and comes with prawn paste.

Herbal chicken; Tender chicken slice with fragrant smell of the herb but not too overpowering. Surpisingly good!

A pot of Tie Kuan Yin (Iron Buddha Tea LOL) to ease digestion after a heavy breakfast.

The restaurant is three shoplots huge (imagine how good their business is) to accomodate their big crowd of customers especially during peak hours.

I noticed that their regular customers are those elderly who come yumcha with their friends. Super vintage restaurant with traditional chinese dining atmosphere.

I would definitely recommend this place! In case you have no idea what to have for breakfast in Malacca, feel free to try out. I thoroughly enjoyed their dimsum and I would give two thumbs up for their uber friendly and nice service! Why are Malacca people so niceeeeeee, they were excited when we started taking photos of them and stuff. Nice people always made my day (': They offer a huge variety of dimsum and prices are reasonable ranging for RM1.70. Total damage for our breakfast was RM30 including the pot of tea, which is considered cheap compared to having dimsum in KL but I think the uncle actually gave us discount :P

Bertam Ulu Pork Satay

Warning: This is a non-halal post.

Satay has always been one of Malacca's trademark, not only satay celup (which I will be blogging later) alone but also pork satay that shall not be missed! Few of the famous ones would be Sun May Hiong Satay House @ Jalan Kota Laksamana or Xiang Ji Pork Satay @ Jalan Portugis.

After the Klebang Coconut Shake session, we ventured all the way to Bertam Ulu, a remote area located 15km away from Malacca Town just to have their porky satay for dinner. This place is quite renown among the locals from Masjid Tanah.

I assumed it is a family business and the stall was operated at a large compound in front of a single storey house; Chuan Seng 泉成.

One of the best satay peanut gravy I've ever tasted, I kid you not. Tangy, sweet, spicy and everything nice! It tasted special because of the salted plum (水梅) they added.

We had chicken satay, pork satay and pork intestine satay served with chopped cucumber and onions.

Not forgetting the ketupats (sticky rice dumplings), best eaten with the oh-so-peanut-licious sauce!

Pork intestine satay. No, I don't fancy innards so I just tried a piece of it.

The heavenly porky satay! What more can I say? The meat was tender and well marinated, grilled to perfection with crisp, slightly burnt edge (Y)(Y) I have more than 10 skewers of porky satay.

We had merely satays and ketupat as our dinner, and I have to say it was pretty good (; According to Kew's brother, it was 全马六甲最好吃的猪肉satay (Read: The best pork satay in Malacca) HEH Not sure how much does per stick cost, cause it was on Kew's brother treat. I remembered it was around RM45 for 55 sticks of satay, 6 ketupats and drinks.

Suprisingly, it was the females (young to old) from the family who are running the business.

After the satisfying tea break at Nadeje, we headed to Klebang just for the sake of the famous and original Klebang Coconut Shake \m/ Since we are already in Malacca, we shall not miss any good stuff!

Here we are! We were really lucky to be there minutes before they're closing, around 6-ish. It's just a drink stall by the side of the road, I guess the easiest way to recognize this place would be the amount of crowd cramming at the stall. Besides their famous coconut shake, they serves coconut drink, sugarcane drinks and food like nasi lemak, mee, kuih muih and etc, all at reasonable price (: Extra charges for take-aways.

This is my first time trying Coconut Shake, definitely something new to me. There will be only one word to describe it - awesome! The perfect drink on a hot sunny day, made of young coconut flesh and coconut water blended together with Walls Vanilla ice cream and ice cubes and sugar syrup. Thus explains the thick and rich creamy texture. You can still chew on the smaller bits of ice and taste the fragrance smell of vanilla and the coconut. It's absolutely the yummylicious coconut shake to die for, A MUST TRY! You can opt for the plain coconut shake @ RM1.80 too (:

It was so good that we even went back there two days after but luck wasn't on our side. It was pouring heavily and the place was uber packed, even worse than sardines in a can plus I didn't want to wait for the long queue under the rain so we decided to leave empty handed #emo See how these coconut shake can make those people go crazy for it.. Hopefully I can have it the next time I'm in Malacca, if only I know the way to get there *search Klebang in Google Map*

Nadeje Patisserie Cafe

When it comes to Malacca, how you can you miss the famous Mille Crepe from Nadeje that has been the talk of the town! Since we were within walking distance to Dataran Pahlawan after sightseeing at the heritage area, Kew insisted that we should try out Nadeje.

Lo and behold, the famous Nadeje Patisserie Cafe which is located at Dataran Pahlawan, the second branch after the one at Plaza Mahkota. Mille crepe is a French cake made of many thin crepe layers. The word mille means "a thousand", implying the many layers of crepe but of course not literally a thousand. Usually, the Mille Crepe is made by 18 to 20 slices with the cream in each slice. There is wide variety of flavours of mille crepe available at Nadeje, ranging from RM9 per slice.

#1. Nadeje means hope in Czech language and was first opened back in 2005.

#3. Green Tea Mille Crepe - High grade Japanese Green Tea, Home-Cooked red beans. It’s really Japanese Style! It was moderately sweet but sadly as a fan of green tea, I don't find this cake delectable. I don't feel like eating it anymore after a few bites.

#4. Banana Chocolate Mille Crepe - Home made Banana’s puree mix with Fresh Cream, sand by Black Chocolate Crepe. It tastes more like a banana cake instead of banana chocolate to me. No no for this flavour.

Guess what, we went there again the next day! This time we ordered different flavours of mille crepe and cocktails :P

#11. (Front to Back) Orange Yakult, Summer Time and Spring Time.
I would definitely recommend Summer Time and Spring Time, the perfect ice cold and fizzy thirst quencher on a hot sunny day!

#12. Rum & Raisin Mille Crepe - It somehow tasted quite similar like the original mille crepe, just with a tinge of rum and raisin fragrance. I think it was still acceptable and yummy to my liking (:

#13. Malacca Mille Crepe - topped with Gula Melaka (palm sugar) and whipped cream. It's a new flavour. Never like the taste of gula Malacca so I don't really fancy this flavour.

#14. Originial Mille Crepe - This cake is the origin of Nadeje Mille Crepe. Home made custard cream with Tahitian Vanilla Beans mix with Fresh Cream.

Just when I thought that Nadeje is one of those overrated dessert cafe, this flavour proves me wrong right after my first bite! I think this would probably be my favourite and I couldn't stop having it ♥♥♥ I just love everything about it (Y) Although it was that good but it still doesn't made me craving for it, prolly cause I'm not really a cake lover.

Malacca Fun Trip 2011

I've been planning this trip since forever and finally I get to visit Malacca dubbed as The Historic State during my one week Deepavali holiday. My first and last visit to Malacca was 8 years ago when I was only 11 (IKR!) with my family so I was pretty excited about this trip. I guess the main reason that has been wanting me to revisit Malacca is mostly because of the food that everyone has been blogging about!

Thanks to Kew for providing such great hospitality and driving us around from north to south and east to west being the tour guide throughout our trip since she's from Malacca (:

It was supposed to be a 3D2N trip but then we extended our stay cause Malacca has been really nice to us, especially the friendly people! I'm surely coming back again in Dec with my family (: I'll be blogging this trip according to Day 1, 2 yadaa yadaa yadaa and there will be separated post for food as well.

Without further ado, let the historical journey begins :P but I gotta warn you that it's gonna be a super duper heavy loaded post full of photos!

DAY 1

#1. At Bandar Tasik Selatan Bus Terminal. Spacious and super clean, looks like an airport.

#2. The bus was really punctual and departed on time.

#3. Upon arriving, let's conquer the Malacca City! Me and my usual heart-shaped sunnies ♥⌣♥

#4. First stop; Tan Kim Hock Product Center @ 85-89 Jalan Bendahara.

#5. Selling mostly local products like Pineapple Tarts, Dodol, Tambun Biscuit, Belacan, Cencaluk, dried fruits and etc.

Second stop of the day would be the heritage area of Malacca where all the historical buildings are at.

Note: If you're a true Malaysian, you will definitely know why this place exist or else shame on you!

I've always love History back in high school thus explains the enthusiasm when it comes to visiting all these historical buildings and getting to know the story behind it. Not forgetting the unique blend of culture and architecture of those buildings that never fail to fascinate as well. This is why Malacca is one of my favourite place to visit! If only I had the chance to visit all the museums around that area (:

The Royal Malaysian Traditional Spa

Frankly speaking, I've never been to a spa in my entire life so I was quite nervous at first on how the whole session is going to be like. I reached there earlier before my appointment time yet due to some unforeseen circumstances, my session started 30 minutes later.

Before my session started, I was asked to changed into bath robe (disposable panties is provided) and keep my belongings in a locker specially for customers' use. Now let the heavenly journey begins! My session started off with 15 mins of full body scrub; great way to keep your skin healthy and smoother through exfoliation. The thorough body scrub is combined with a short massage which makes it even relaxing.

After the body scrub, I headed upstairs and disrobe myself for another 15 minutes of Sauna to sweat out all the toxins in my body. The good thing about having sauna at ReNeau is that you get to have your own Sauna cubicle; more privacy. Yet for those who has claustrophobia or nyctophobia or even thermophobia, this may not be a good idea :P cause you will be undergoing the sauna in the dark with music accompanying you throughout. Never knew that a short period of 15 minutes can get me sweat soaked.

After my Sauna, I had my luxurious foot spa that includes aromatic foot soak, foot scrub and light foot massage.

After the hot sauna treatment, I was really hoping to have my feet soak in icy cold water but boy I was wrong, the water was boiling hot! It was literally burning my skin but I believe there must be a therapeutic benefit.

Look at my tomato red feet! T__T but it was all worth it.

Then, my feet was dried properly before the best part of the foot spa; THE FOOT SCRUB(!) although it was a bit ticklish. I've been dying to have one, my feet definitely deserve this pampering for all the burden and anxiety that has been bear all these while. The foot scrub not only help to exfoliate dead skins on the entire plantar surface on my foot but it relieves my cracked heels and dry calluses as well. Till today, my feet are still softer than before. Trust me, I can feel that my happy feet are thanking me <3 I should definitely go for foot spa once in a while after this.

After the body scrub and sauna, I definitely need to have a shower before moving on the next treatment. Body shampoo and clean towel are provided and the shower room was clean. No time limit for the shower so you can take your own sweet time until you think you're fully squeaky clean (:

After the shower, I then had my one hour full body massage (literally from head to toe) which was soothing that I almost feel asleep. It really promotes relaxation and helps to relieve my muscular tension especially at my neck and shoulder region. My masseur was really good as she varies the amount forces according to the different areas of the body with the kneading, pounding, deep friction massage and stretching techniques.

Last but not least, I then had my facial lifting treatment to refresh my tired facial skin who is sick of having bad ~~hair~~face day HAHA The facial lifting treatments includes basic facial (facial wash with cleansing soap, vitamin B complex foam cleanser, steaming and pimples removal with toner applied after that) and lifting. I love the fact that my masseur was really gentle in handling my face throughout the treatment.

That pretty much round off my 3 hours of royal malaysian traditional spa full body pampering session that fits for a queen :P Too much of a good thing can be wonderful. After the 3 hours of non stop pampering, I feel rejuvenated and refreshed, definitely ready for my Malacca trip. It was overall satisfying for my virgin experience of spa session, in fact way better than my expectation yet I think that their management and service (communication and interaction skills between customers) could be even better.

Feasting Day

Last week was Joeann's birthday (read it HERE) and this week, it was Kew's.

It was on Thursday night, where my usual bunch from class and I decided to celebrate Kew's birthday (which was supposed to be on Saturday) earlier cause most of them are heading back to their hometown the next day. It's been a while since our last outing (: We had dinner @ Sushi Zanmai, Gardens Mall.

Note: It's strictly not advisable to continue reading if you're feeling hungry or craving for sushi now *evil laugh*

Too engrossed with the food that there's no group photo of us T_T And this time round, Sie Yii made rainbow cake pops for Kew. So colourful and cute, I can assure you that they taste as yummy as they look OM NOM NOMZ

I guess our next outing would be in December, when we are all done with finals and assignments! (;
