Review: Legend Age Healthy Cherry Lipstick

Nothing says lovin' like a nice soft kiss! But how many of you actually has a lip care routine to achieve beautiful rosy lips? Our lips need just as much care as the rest of our skin as they are constantly exposed to various irritants but sadly, our lips are often overlooked or downright neglected.

I have naturally dry lips and it's even worse when I have lack of sleep or I don't drink enough water. The fact that I'm spending most of the day in air-conditioned environment does not help either. Yet, I got to admit that I still don't put any effort in taking care of my lips cause of the hassle and it's pretty time consuming. First you got to exfoliate then you gotta yadah yadah yadah, you know the drill.

HOW TO USE

1. Lip balm: To apply anytime of the day especially after meals and best before sleep for pink and

Must Have Lancôme Products in 2017

Ever since cushion compact foundation was introduced to the beauty industry, it has been a staple in my makeup routine no matter how lazy or glam I'm feeling. No surprise that brands  – both affordable and luxurious have hopped onto the cushion bandwagon with a wide variety of these to achieve porcelain, blemish free face effortlessly. So far, I've only tried Korean cushion compacts, so this time round I'm really excited to give Lancôme's highly raved cushion compact a shot. 

Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Cushion Foundation | RM188.00 

Claims to be long lasting, this oil-free lightweight liquid foundation also promises an ultra high coverage, plus refreshing hydration (that's a first, I must say), SPF 50 Sunscreen, as well as a natural matte finish. It is utilizing a technology called Polar Cushion Technology™ - which is tailor made for longwear and coverage.

I've got to say I am utterly won over by this cushion compact, from its chic packaging to its velvet puff applicator which is one of a kind. It was developed specifically for high coverage textures. Instead of tapping the puff onto your face to blend it out, you can just swipe it onto your skin to blend the formula out seamlessly thus creating a flawless-looking finish. 

And of course, the formula itself too! It does give me the cooling sensation when I first applied it onto my skin and the best part, even the first dip itself was enough to cover my entire face.

Based on these two tests that I've done, this cushion compact has indeed live up to its claim. Despite having such incredible high coverage, I love the fact that it doesn't feel greasy at all on the skin. In fact, it was very light and comfortable. It can even last me the whole day without any touch up.

The natural looking glow aftermath without any concealer or even loose powder, I kid you not. The cushion comes in nine shades and mine was in 025, Beige Naturel. Though it can be slightly on the steep price, but I can assure you that it's certainly worth every dime you spent

And on my lips, I was wearing the The Lancôme Juicy Shaker that I've been looking forward to try out ever since it made its debut. Trust me when I say it took me a good 30 minutes to decide which color I wanted for myself since it comes with 20 different shades and flavours that look equally fabulous and tempting! So what is so special about this Juicy Shaker? It has this biphase formula which does not only nourish your lips but also leave your pout infused with a sheer wash of colour. Packed with 5 nourishing oils such as cranberry seed oil and sweet almond oil, it can treat your lips like a lip balm.

When you open up the cap of the Juicy Shakers, you'll notice the unique looking sponge tip applicator. Fluffy as it looks, it feels really soft on the lips. You can either dab or swipe it onto the lips to apply it. The tip will hold just the right amount for you to use, so as to prevent a mess. It also seems to absorb more oil than the pigments sometimes, so maybe shaking a little more beforehand would help balance that out.

I was never a big fan of lip products, cause they either dry up my lips or end up being sticky. Basically, ampoule is being applied after cleansing and toning your face followed by serum and moisturizer. In this case, you can actually skip the latter as DocLab's Face Ampoules are rich enough. On days when you think your skin is in need of some TLC, you can apply a mask after your ampoule to aid its absorption into the skin. And oh just a tip, it is best to exfoliate (in moderation) before using an ampoule to maximise its benefits as dead skin cells sitting on the surface of your skin can hinder absorption.

Ampoules are filled with highly active ingredients like pure vitamins, enzymes in various combinations, and most of the time do not contain preservatives or chemicals thus once the ampoules are opened, it can only last you for a day. It is recommended to use one bottle per day for day and night.

Pour an appropriate amount and distribute them all over the face and just gently massage it. The four areas to cover are the cheeks, the nasolabial folds to the ridge of your nose, the forehead and lastly your chin line.

I tend to have dry skin cause I usually spend long hours in air-conditioned environment. Definitely a plus point to me as it does not leave any sticky and oily residue on my face. So after the first application, I can really feel the instant hydration and refreshing effect on my face. Of course, you can't see a vast difference by just merely 5 days. Thus it is advised to use the ampoules for 14 days continously for better result.

On the other hand,  Lavender oil's natural soothing and gentle astringent properties is useful in many skin-related conditions such as burns, eczema and psoriasis as it has the ability to reduce inflammation, thereby minimizing breakouts and allow healing to take place. 

Ingredients: Lavender infused Organic Virgin Olive Oil, Avocado Oil, Organic Virgin Coconut Oil, Sweet Almond Oil and Lavender Oil.

Verdict: When I first heard of face/body oil, I was pretty hesitant to even try it and my first reaction was "Oil on my acne-prone skin?" That sounds like a terrible idea and there was absolutely zero chance that I was going to put it on my face. Little did I know that facial oils actually reduce the appearance of fine lines and nourish your skin with intense moisture as they have a locking and protective nature. So when I was given the chance to try out this Lavender Face Oil, I started to add it in into my daily skincare regime be it day or night, and I got to say I am loving it. It can be a great replacement for moisturizing cream and body lotion!

The texture is light and it was not as greasy as I thought. The oil absorbs almost instantly and it does not leave a greasy and shiny finish after application but rather a sheer glow. And ehem we all know, glow is good (; I can feel that my face is more luminous and even after a long day, I don't find my face oily. Apart from the nourishing and ultra-moisturizing beauty benefits, I love how soothing it smells. For my body, I tried applying this body oil on mosquito bites scar that have been irritating me for months, and it works amazeballs! The scar just faded off in a day or two.

P/S: However, face oil may not work the same on all skin types so be sure to read up more and test it beforehand. 

Inspire Essential Oil Roll-on Perfume --RM39

Overall Review

I love how both the shampoo and conditioner (550ml each) come in durable and ergonomically designed pump bottle cause it sure makes my life easier. The texture of the shampoo is pretty similar to any other shampoo, white in colour and lathers up nicely. I require only 1-2 pumps of the shampoo to lather my entire head and I like the fact that it wasn't very foamy. The effect was quite instant I would say as my hair becomes less frizzy and more mosturized after a few wash. I can now run my fingers through my hair smoothly after every wash (: With the conditioner and hair mask, my hair feels healthier and fluffier! Not to forget the long-lasting heavenly and refreshing light floral scent that I really love, even the boyfriend noticed the change in shampoo HEH and I love how it doesn't dry out my hair so the shampoo and conditioner are definitely suitable for daily use.

The after photo are taken a week after I started using Tsubaki Shining Hair range products. As you can see, it is now less frizzy and dull and of course slightly shinier ✰˚✧₊⁎ヽ(*´∀`)ﾉﾟ⁎⁺˳✧༚✰ I can have more manageable hair, all thanks to Tsubaki!

For true improvement in sheen, volume, texture and manageability outside of a salon, look no further! To An Acne-Free Skin with Benzac

These days, I got to admit the fact that appearance plays an important role and I am pretty sure that everyone fears of acne and pimples, be it female or male. I consider myself lucky cause I never really have to deal with acne problem since puberty but that doesn't stop me from taking my skin lightly. Dealing with acne can be really tormenting but thanks to Galderma, a renowned Swiss-based global dermatology company for bringing in Benzac, the trusted solution to acne-free skin to Malaysia! Now everyone can look forward to the pain-free and fuss-free solution to their acne woes. 

They have a range of products targeting on oily and combination skin as well as sensitive to normal skin. I got myself three products for sensitive to normal skin to try out (:

Benzac Daily Facial Foam Cleanser 

This facial foam cleanser works to remove impurities effectively and gently unblock pores. It contains natural calendula and aloe vera extracts to keep your skin well hydrated while controlling sebum production for a shine-free skin. I love its light foamy texture that absorbs almost immediately into my skin after applying it and besides, it forms a hydrating non-greasy protective film that makes me feels so refreshed after every wash. 

Benzac Daily Facial Liquid Cleanser

This works exactly the same as the foam cleanser, just that it comes in a liquid form. Its texture is pretty dilute but it can produce quite an amount of foam even with a few tiny drops. One thing is for sure that they both have a really nice and mild scent.

Benzac Facial Scrub

For a more thorough cleansing, it is recommended to use Benzac Facial scrub that is designed to suit all skin types at least twice weekly. It gently exfoliates dead skin cells and impurities to ensure clear pores. The creamy light yellow texture may look harsh but trust me, it is one of the best facial scrubs I've ever used. It is fully packed with loads of microbeads that leaves you feeling squeaky clean after a good amount of scrubbing. And not to forget, it has this really unique citrus/lemongrass (I can't even tell HAHA) scent. 

My verdict? I've been using these products for over a month now and I am loving them. The results isn't that apparent on me since I don't really have serious acne problem but it does a great job in maintaining my skin condition and I do feel a difference since I have lesser breakouts now during that time of the month. 

Remember, you are never alone in fighting acne. The sooner you start treating it, the sooner you'll achieve a better skin. So delay no more!

VERDICT

I love it cause it is ahhhh-mazing, getting smooth feet has never been this easy! What's even better? The instant result! Based on the photos I've attached, you can be the judge yourself. It may not be that visible but I can really feel that my feet were smoother and softer after the first use. It is actually very gentle, didn't hurt or tickle one bit. It is comfortable to hold and effectively followed the contours of my feet to reach all areas that needed some TLC. Within minutes my calluses and dry skin were not just smoothed over, but gone. The fact that it's portable albeit rather heavy for its size makes it possible to bring it along practically anywhere anytime too, especially if you're going on a long vacation. The only downside is probably that it gets a tad messy with the skin dust flying around while using it, so it's best to do it in the bathroom or with a towel underneath your feet. And oh, it does make this loud sound too when you switch it on. Other than that, I'm quite a satisfied user since I'm a flip-flop and sandals kind of person, having beautiful and healthy feet is a must :D Can't wait to let my mum and sister try it out since their cracked heels are worse.
