Limited Edition July Vanity Trove x Infinity KOSÉ

Can't believe July is coming to an end in just a few days and I've yet to review about the July Trove. The initial plan was to come up with a vlog as well but I was too caught out with stuff and what not (now that class is starting too), so I only manage to write about this at the very last minute. So sorry for the delay and I guess most of you would have known what's inside this month trove by now anyways (:

Unlike the usual pink Vanity Trove wording on the box, this month's box has a blue sleeve on it instead. I love how minimal the design is, yet still keeping it classy (:

As mentioned in my vlog last month, July Trove would be a limited KOSÉ edition. I was expecting a range of blue coloured products, but to my surprise they are all mostly in pink!

Introducing the Infinity KOSÉ Pure Advance :D

When you've noticed an increase in visible pores, it's a sign that your skin is beginning to change due to aging :O Hence, it is crucial to take countermeasures before they start to cause wrinkles and sagging which is every ladies' nightmare. I believe all ladies would want to look young and they will definitely feel flattered when someone compliment their youthful look HAHA Trust me, been there done that. My mum is quite a good example, she goes all red (and secretly overjoy inside) when people said that she's my sister instead of my mum hehehe :P

Alright, back to the main thing. With the
Infinity KOSÉ Pure Advance line, infinite youth is possible which is also the theme of this month's trove. These products creates hydrated and elastic skin that appears poreless as it cares for the pores that have opened due to dryness, sagging pores, and blackhead cause by sebum and dirt. It's never too early to start maintaining your youth, in chinese they call it 保养 even when you're in the mid twenties (which reminds me that I'm getting older sobs) to remain beautiful and forever young in the future.
Total of 6 products that comes in the trove; 5 basic care products and 1 special care product.
  1. Pure Advance Oil Cleansing Gel (RM119.00 FOR 120G)
It's a unique gel formula that spreads smoothly on your skin and turns into oil swiftly. Said to be effective in removing make up, and dirt from your face and unblocking your pores for smoother and brighter skin. Massage a cherry size of it gently on your face and neck before rinsing it thoroughly with water. Somehow it's quite mild and does not remove my make up that well, so I had to use make up remover before hand. However, after using it the cleansing gel,  it really does make my face smoother without the need of cleansing foam.

  2. Pure Advance Clear Up Wash (RM99.00 FOR 120G)
After the cleansing gel, it is recommended to use this Clear Up Wash to remove any excess makeup and sebum from your skin, leaving behind clearer skin and smaller pores. I love its sweet scent.

  3. Pure Advance Essence Lotion II (RM169.00 FOR 160ML)
Containing natural essences to rejuvenate, hydrate and plump up tired skin, this most will also reduce the visibility of open pores cause by dryness. Pour the Essence Lotion II on a cotton pad or your palms and gently pat into your skin after cleansing. It has watery texture and it absorbed pretty quick once applied on the face.

  4. Pure Advance Serum II (RM169.00 FOR 120ML)
Dryness and water-oil imbalance in our skin can cause rough skin texture so this Serum II helps to adjust the balance of natural oils and water content in your skin so your skin will appear soft, fluffy and poreless after using it. Loving the light texture and how it doesn't leave a sticky feeling on my face (:

  5. Pure Advance Eye Jelly (RM180.00 FOR 20G)
We all know that the skin around our eyes need extra delicate care and it's one of the first areas where sign of aging appear. This eye jelly is a true saviour as it instantly replenish moisture around the eyes, creating eyes that radiate with a vibrant impression. You will only need a tiny amount of jelly on every usage onto the tip of your ring finger, gently pat it around the skin of your eyes to get result instantly.

  6. Deep Protection UV (RM180.00 FOR 30G)
Deep Protection UV thoroughly guards the skin from UV-A and UV-B rays with the highest SPF/PA protection. Its emulsion-like formula protects the skin's translucency and firmness,  makes fine wrinkles caused by dryness less visible. With its highly adhesive base that spreads smoothly over the skin, it creates a strong even film for smoother and moisturized skin. This has got to be my favourite of all, it's now a staple in my daily daytime skincare routine. It's important to protect your face from the harmful UV rays especially if you will be spending most of your day outdoors. I like how it gives a shiny finishing after applying it even if I'm just using a little amount and it doesn't make my face greasy after the whole day.

Thanks to VT again, I've got something extra in my box this month which are products from Nature & Co! They are under the same company with  KOSÉ (correct me if I'm wrong) so these are products from Japan. Nature & Co products contain natural ingredients that are against animal cruelty, vegan and of best quality from across the globe. Their packaging uses only materials such as Glass, PP, PETG and acrylic which are user friendly, recyclable or biodegradable and hence totally environment friendly.

Overall review: There is no full size products this month but I'm not complaining at all cause it's all  KOSÉ products they are giving and it's almost a complete set.  KOSÉ being one of the high end beauty products, I couldn't be more delighted. Plus, beauty boxes are meant to be giving sample/deluxe size products so that we have the chance to try different brands and products before deciding into getting a full size products or if it's suitable for us.

As usual, hop on to the links below for more details.

P/S: Now that I have quite a number of beauty products that I'm not using, it's better not to waste them. So I would probably do a giveaway next month. Stay tuned!

Chelsea Asia Tour 2013 | Meet and Greet Signing Session

Last Saturday will be remembered as one of the memorable events in my entire life. You guys might know that Chelsea FC (in case you don't know who they are, click HERE lol) was here in Malaysia over the weekend for their Chelsea Here to Play | Here to Stay Asia Tour 2013. Thanks to Samsung and Manoah for the money-can't-buy meet and greet passes, I had the opportunity to meet the players of Chelsea FC! Up close and personal okay (; Too bad Torres, Luiz and Mata didn't come along (T__T) for this tour yet I was still overwhelmed to be able to meet with the rest of the team.

I took a cab and made my way to Saujana Golf and Country Club and made sure I was on time since the meet and greet session was scheduled to start at 12.30pm. As usual, there was a slight delay (Malaysian timing tsk tsk) in the schedule but it didn't took very long so yeah.

It's an exclusive event so you'll have to have this pass in order to go for the meet and greet session.

They gave us a Chelsea lanyard too with the pass! :D
Of course what's a meet and greet without the fans right? All clad in Chelsea's home jersey, I was feeling out of place since I was just wearing a plain white tee HAHA and I actually didn't expect to see so many fans that day but oh well, a fan gotta do what a fan gotta do. I think they are a tad too quiet, they should make some noise :P

After some brief photo session, the fans then started to chant, cheer and sing while waiting for the event to start.

Then we were brought to the Topaz room where we were all being seated and waited for our turn. It's really cool that we sort of had the VIP privilege cause we were the first few ones to go for the meet and greet session.

Everyone feeling all eager and nervous! Lining up to FINALLY meet the players :DDDDDD

I wasn't really feeling the butterflies until I stepped into the room. I was like BAMMMM, they are just in front of me since I only get to see them running around on the TV screen before this!

I actually brought quite a few stuff for them to sign on but before we went in, the organizer suggested that we should just give them one item to sign on or else it would be quite messy since they wanted us to be fast and waste no time. I couldn't even have enough time to breathe duh I was obviously too busy swooning HAHA jkjk I didn't even have the chance to shake their hands ): At the mean time, I was super nervous for God knows why that even my hands are shaking so some of the photos I took are sadly blurred *smack head* I was of course too shy to ask every single one of them to pose for me so I took while they are signing their jersey. No eye candies for you guys :P

First on the line, John Terry!
P/S: This is the only clear photo I had of Ashley Cole and Mark Schwarzer.
Teeheeeeeee, I feel so close to you right now
Ashley Cole, signing the jersey.
Mark Schwarzer // The new goalkeeper, previously from Fulham, can't even believe that he's already 40!
Raaaaaamires!
Piazon, he's only 19 this year! (´∀`)♥
Another Chelsea's young player, McEachran.
Gary Cahill.

Essien.
A photo with Ivanovic! (*≧▽≦)

And and and of course, heart throb Hazard! ♥(ノ´∀`) This was actually unintentional, he caught me taking photo of him while he signed the jersey, so he posed for him, nawwwwww.
My new boiiiiipren HAHA I wish, he's married though
No one could help me to take a photo of us so I just swiftly flipped open the swivel screen and snapped. One for the album but it's blurred too HAIHHHHH but better than nothing *sheepish grin*

Me on cloud nine and the oversized jersey!
The session was really really brief, in less than 10 minutes I guess.

There were a few players that didn't make it for the meet and greet too cause they have a football clinic else where so I missed the chance to meet Cech, Ginkel (the Justin Bieber lookalike HAHA), Kalas, Schurrle and Lampard too, oh well. Still, I'm drowning in euphoria thinking back about the meet and greet, can't believe I've met them. Went to bed that night, smiling like Cheshire cat to myself :3

T'was a good day, in fact an awesome one indeed.

Joblogy makes job hunting now easier!

Oh heyyyy!

Sorry again for the lack of updates since early July cause I am currently busy with my part time job, which is kind of a blessing in disguise after lazing at home for the past one month. The internet at home isn't working lately so I couldn't imagine how am I gonna spend my day at home if I am not working. Well, the main point of this post is not about my part time job anyway.

Remember the post I blogged about a home tuition website that enables you to find private tutors or jobs as tutors as well? Ring any bells? The owner has come up with a new website, http://www.joblogy.com/ to search for part time jobs! Isn't that great? Cause I guess a lot of college or uni students nowadays would work part time if they can manage their time well for extra pocket money. It's really important to find reliable websites to search for jobs as well as you don't want to end up getting conned.
This is how the website looks like with a cute pink mascot. I like how it's simple and user friendly (:
So as you can see, it doesn't just provide you the opportunity for part time jobs but you can search for full time, intern jobs as well as contract and freelance jobs!

The easiest way to search for jobs is probably by location first, so you can type out the location that you are in for example part time job in Kuala Lumpur or Penang. Besides location, you can also search for jobs according to its type, so you can just click the Jobs tab on top
... and it will lead you to this page (: Everything is well organised. The company, job title and description, type of job and salary is listed as well.
Though the website is still relatively new, there are already a number of different jobs available ranging from event crews, admin clerk to programming jobs. Hopefully, there will be more jobs opportunity available in months or years to come.

Nowadays, you can log in to most websites by connecting it to your personal Facebook account, well you can do just the same with Joblogy too. Once you've logged in with your Facebook account, you'll be able to use this interesting feature whereby you can see if your friends working or worked before in some of those companies in the job list. I decided to try out the feature and look whom I've found HEHE

I guess that's pretty much it about Joblogy, there is definitely room for improvement in terms of job database.  Hope you guys find this post informative and helpful especially those who are currently on semester break and wanting to find jobs :P Feel free to check the website out!

And not to forget who those who are in Singaland, they are finding for private tutors for home tuition too :D

Till then, happy job finding y'all!

Sunny Hill Ice Cream

After bugging my dad for days ever since we reached Kuching, I finally get to have Sunny Hill ice cream today! ヽ(*⌒∇⌒*)ノ This legendary ice cream parlour, located in front of Sunny Hill Secondary School is truly one that you shouldn’t blink or else you’d miss it. Although small in size and in sweets choices, but what they have is rather large in taste and satisfaction. Sunny Hill ice cream needs no further introduction among the locals cause it's acclaimed for decades since the 60's. Even my dad grew up having Sunny Hill ice cream, it's a part of his teenage years #nostalgic

The sugary treats we ordered!

Vanilla Ice Cream topped with crushed nuts and caramel syrup (M) - RM2.70
This would be my favourite! The crushed nuts and caramel syrup adds an extra savoury flavour to the  sweet ice cream.

Mixed flavours (Vanilla + Strawberry) topped with crushed nuts and caramel syrup (M) - RM2.70

Vanilla Ice Cream Sandwich - RM2.60
Normally ice cream would be served in buns, this is actually my first time seeing ice cream served on wholemeal bread.

Besides these, you can opt for your ice creams to be served on cones or banana splits. They even have ice cream special, where they served the ice cream with corns and chopped fruits as well as ice cream on pudding. These ice creams are available for take-away too.

The only downside would probably be the limited flavors to choose from.
In fact, there are only certain flavors of sundae that will be on sale on specific days:
 Monday to Tuesday - Strawberry
Wednesday to Friday - Pandan or Corn
 Saturday and Sunday - Chocolate
 Everyday - Vanilla

But I wouldn't mind cause when it comes to ice-cream, I'll only go for vanilla :D
Look at the amount of people queueing! And it's not even on a sunny day. But fret not, their service are pretty fast so they will get to you in just a jiffy. No long hours of waiting required (:

They are really generous with the portion of their ice cream, I couldn't even finish this sandwich myself.
The ice cream has a really soft texture and it's uber smoooooth. I love the strong fragrance and the rich taste of the milk powder flavour. The ice cream isn't too sweet so the old folks would love this too (*≧▽≦)
Good thing that it doesn't melt quickly! So you can enjoy every taste of it. I have to give three thumbs up for this, if I can have an extra thumb :P

Salted popcorn to snack on, RM1.50 per packet.

Operating hours as stated (:
Their profits are used for the public service projects of the Seventh-Day Adventist Mission.

I like how it still maintain its vintage vibe and classic interior even after all these years. It's like a school canteen with quite a number of seats for its patrons. It's nothing like any fancy ice cream parlour out there yet it still manage to attract the locals to revisit them again and again. There's not even a slight complaint about deteriorating quality or what not. Like the Chinese phrase this is a truly 老招牌 that lives to its name. I'll definitely come back every time I visit Kuching!

P/S: To find a parking slot can be quite a nuisance though.

Sunny Hill Ice-Cream Shop
3rd Mile Rock Road,
93250, Kuching,
Sarawak.
