WE LOVE ASIA PRESENTS AVICII

Oh, sometimes I get a good feeling,
yeah I get a feeling that I never, never, never, never had before,
no no I get a good feeling, yeah

That's the first Avicii's song I heard when I get to know him, which is also the time I was introduced to EDM The next thing I know, BAM it was love at first sight hearing, if that makes sense :P I guess everyone is aware that he will be here next Saturday, performing LIVE at Sepang International Circuit, all thanks to WELOVEASIA!

Besides the Swedish superstar lad, confirmed line-ups like Bassjackers, Martin Garrix (omg can't believe that he's only 7teen and not to mention smoking hot too), Congorock and few other local artists will be there to entertain the crowd that night too! Does that sound tempting to you? Mmmmhmmm (;

Date: 30th of November 2013 (Saturday)
Time: 5PM onwards
Venue: Sepang International Circuit, The Welcome Center

Alright, I shall not beat around the bush and just get straight to the point; 5 best reasons as why Nuffnang should choose me to party with them at Avicii @ Sepang International Circuit.

#1. As cliche as it sounds, simply cause YOLO! Since I've missed him at Heineken Thrist 2012, I can't afford to miss his act again this year. It seems like the whole world is going, so how can I not join the bandwagon?

#2. I've never been to a rave party // hides self. And it's time to tick that off from my bucket list. I need to live by the motto #eatsleepraverepeat!

#3. I just want to have a good time! I'm so ready to rave and rock the dancefloor, in this case it would be Sepang's cement floor LOL \(._.\) ƪ(‘-’ ƪ)(ʃ ‘-’)ʃ (/._.)/ Who knows I get to meet some hot hunks too teehee Time to let my hair down and have a one hell of a night before grounding myself for the next two months to finish up my research proposal #lifeoffinalyearstudent There has been fair bits of ups and downs this November as well and I haven't been attending evens too due to my busy schedule. I'll be missing out on Wicked Festival and Urbanscapes too, such bummer! So it would be a huge deal if I could end November with a happy note, it's never too early to receive Christmas present from Nuffnang, I guess? :P

#4. It would be blessed if I could be the one to have a last dance with Avicii. I need him to wake me up from this sweet dreams.

#5. Cause nothing beats seeing him play live. It's A-freak-VI-king-CII yaw!
Been drowning myself with most of his tracks lately, who could ever get enough of him! And here's my all time favourite song of Avicii.

WELOVEASIA X ΛVICII ΛVICII ΛVICII ΛVICII ΛVICII ΛVICII
Hoping that I could get my hands on those tickets and party all night long. So pick me, choose me, cause I'm that desperate. Pretty please, with a cherry on top?
But remember folks, party hard party responsibly too! See you there, I hope :P

Personalized Vanity Trove Box + Giveaway

Few months back, I blogged about the new VanityTrove where you get to choose your own beauty samples (HERE) to go into your own personalized trove. Since I have most of the products in the list before this, I had to wait for them to update with new beauty samples. So after months of anticipating, I'm glad I finally manage to get one for myself! Now that it's self pick instead of pre-pack, you won't be seeing reviews of the the same monthly troves that everyone has been getting.

It didn't take me long to choose the 6 items I wanted cause I've been eyeing some of them for quite time after reading the reviews written by other beauty bloggers.

Little did I know that VT now comes with a new packaging! Simple yet looking classy with the gold detail.

And these are what I've chosen for my so-called Hilda's VT!
Too bad they no longer have Benefit Porefessional T__T
Talika Lipocils Expert | 10ml @ RM185.00
This amazing lash enhancer is composed of a blend of natural actives from the inventor of the original eyelash growth product in 1948 in France.Whether you feel your lashes look too short, sparse, brittle or lack shine and curl, or if you just dream of longer, shinier, sexier looking lashes, Lipocils Expert® is your answer. It helps to lengthen them up to 36%, strengthen by up to 50%, and curl by up to 50%.

I've been using this for the past two weeks (every morning ) and I couldn't believe at the result myself. All you have to do is to apply it on the root of your lashes, along your eyelid and on the eyelash itself. It was supposed to come with a mascara brush as stated in the instruction but all I got was this brush applicator. Most importantly, it shows pretty obvious and vast improvement, since my lashes dropped after the eyelash extension I did last month. Now they're back longer and even volumnized YAYYY Oh, it works on lower lashes too. Definitely a good investment I would say, but since this is not a full size products, it only last for two weeks of usage.
Nuxe Nuxellence Jeunesse | 50ml @ RM180
After years of research, NUXE has launched Nuxellence®, a major anti-aging innovation that not only protect but also repairsmitochondrial DNA(1) to reveal the skin’s youth and radiance. It has a fondant and “second-skin” texture infused with subtle, feminine floral notes leaves the skin infinitely soft and velvety.
Another product that has been highly raved so I'm curious to try it out myself. The serum is light in texture (as you can see in my photo) and it is easily absorbed into the skin leaving a light velvety soft feeling to your skin. One thing for sure, I love the smell of the product, a beautifully soft and feminine mix of Linseed Flower, Lily of the Valley, Heliotrope mandarin and Nectarine notes. I can still smell even after another layer of moisturizer. I just started including it into my morning skincare routine which I use it as a pre-moisturizer serum. Loving it so far cause even after a long day, it doesn't seem to make my face any oily.
Skinz UV White Eye Brightening Essence | 15ml @ RM33.90
An invigorating eye therapy that lightens the appearance of dark circles, strengthens the skin tissue around the delicate eye area, and eliminates eyebags & puffiness.
Elizabeth Arden Visible Whitening Melanin Control Night Capsules | 50 capsules @ $140
These capsules of nighttime serum will have your skin looking profoundly smoother, crystal clear and translucent. Delivering Vitamin C derivative, as well as SpectraBright™ technology, antioxidants and plant derived extracts that prevent melanin synthesis and fight the damaging effects of pollution. Just one serum filled capsule, massaged into the skin, each night both compliments and finishes off you nighttime beauty regime. 1 capsule is enough to cover the entire face and neck area.
Elizabeth Arden, a luxury brand and when it comes to luxury whitening products, they don't make your skin stark white fully but they target areas of your skin that produce too much melanin then balances your skin out. I've been trying it out for a few nights and the results? Flawless, bright, and natural. I wake up to a bright radiant face instead of a greasy face. It was noticeable even after my first application itself. The one thing I dislike about it is the oily gel texture that I felt after applying it though it absorbed pretty fast after that. Did I say it's expensive? If only money grows on tree, I would definitely get myself  a full size bottle.

KilaDoll Licorice & Job's Tear Face Mask | 10pcs/box @ RM39.90
KilaDoll Licorice & Job's Tear Whitening Face Mask helps whitening with 100% herbal, natural and plant extracts suitable even for very delicate skin . It gives you translucent skin after several times of usage. KilaDoll Face Mask series uses wood pulp imported from Japan- super thin and soft to be perfectly fitted on your face.
TruDTox Naturally Purify | 5pcs/box @ RM29.50
TruDtox™ is a Swiss natural and organic botanical tea that WORKS GENTLY to cleanse toxins and pollutants from the body and help strengthen our body’s own natural detox organs. It is made of 100% organically-cultivated herbs, flora and teas that are traditionally known to help our body detoxify. TruDtox™ does not contain harsh laxatives and as such, will not create bowel dependency.

Not sure how gentle it can be, I haven't try this detox drink yet cause I'm having classes almost everyday so I don't want to end up going to the toilet throughout my classes. So I guess I'm gonna save this up after my Taiwan trip, I'm pretty sure I'll be in dire need of detox after all the gastronomic adventures.

In sunny Malaysia where it’s summer all year round, it’s always best never to leave home without a pair of sunglasses.  [27-30 March 2014 | Malaysia International Shoe Festival  Cat Eye Sunglasses]
Cat eye sunglasses never fail to add a touch of feminine charm to a lady’s look. These sassy shades were made popular in the 1950s and 1960s by notable female icons like Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn and Elizabeth Taylor. And on top of that, a lady can never have too many shoes. Get your fill of footwear and fashion at this showcase this March in Kuala Lumpur while looking every inch a lady. We like how Cara Delevigne pulls them off here.

[November 2014 | Monsoon Cup: Single lens sunglasses]

Keep the sea breeze in your hair and keep out the glare with a pair of single lens shades. An event that brings together the top players in the international sailing arena in the state of Terengganu in November 2014, look every inch as cool as 2012 Monsoon Cup champion American professional Taylor Canfield as you sail the high seas.

Dao Kia Soy Dessert

Oh hey, hope I'm not too late to wish you guys Happy November! It has been great so far with me lazing at home for my one week break. This trip back home was decided just a month ago when I found out that the air tickets are cheaper than usual, thanks to AirAsia for the promo :P How can you say no when you get to fly home even if it's just for a while?! But it seems like my sole reason flying home was mainly to satisfy my Sarawak food craving, bad I know.

As the title suggests, I'm obviously not gonna blog about my holiday but about this new dessert place I tried out with the bunch some day last month. To be honest, I didn't know about this new soy dessert cafe until Dao Kia emailed me. Dao Kia was founded in Singapore and their first outlet was opened last November in Kota Damansara. Initially I was curious about what Dao Kia actually means (I can hardly pronounce it correctly either HAHA) until I later found out that it is actually 豆仔 pronounced in Hokkien. No direct translation of 豆仔but it's a nickname given to the founder by his family as he is always experimenting various recipes of these soy dessert in the kitchen. It's good to have something different than the overrated Taiwanese shaved ice dessert, I was pretty excited to try them out.

I love how their menu is nicely illustrated and colourful.

Introducing Dao Kia's signature dessert; flavoured soy milk puddings!
There are four flavours available; Original, Japanese Green Tea, Coconut Bliss and Creamy Almond respectively. Occasionally, they have seasonal flavours too. Previously they have Teh Tarik flavour (too bad I missed it) and as for now they have Chocolate Mocha flavour.

The puddings are light and really smooth. Every spoonful of it  just melts in your mouth SLURPSSS
If you're a big fan of almond, you'll definitely enjoy the creamy almond cause of the strong and fragant taste. And as for the refreshing coconut bliss, there's nothing extra ordinary about it. Since I'm a green tea person, it's pretty obvious that I prefer the japanese green tea the most. It's one of the bestseller too, after the original flavoured soy pudding. Most importantly, their puddings are not too sweet, just nice to my liking. A dessert that is suitable for the young and old, don't you think?
Since they ran out of the original flavoured soy milk pudding that day, we only get to try the sample size ones but it's good enough! I love the rich taste of the soy milk, very creamy and milky indeed.

P/S: Feel free to ask for samples when you drop by at Dao Kia :D

(L-R) Creamy Almond Soy Milk, Japanese Green Tea Soy Smoothie, Original Soy Smoothie.
Their Almond Soy Milk doesn't have the strong almond taste compared to the pudding so it's still acceptable for me. As for their smoothies, I was expecting something more chunky but it turns out to be smooth and fine in texture compared to the smoothies out there. Apparently, customers like it that way. I guess it all depends on individual's preferences (:

This says it all; perfect for the health-conscious consumers out there. I was told that the soy beans used for their dessert are organic. So if you're craving for sweet dessert yet having the need to watch on your  diet, this would be a good alternative.

And oh, they serve my fave glutinous rice balls too. Pretty huge in size I would say and generous with the fillings too. 3 chewy glutinous balls are served in each bowl with their hot piping signature soy milk.

Available in three different flavours and my favourite has got to be the molten peanut! Couldn't have enough of these om nom nomss

They have these wacky props on the table for you to take photo with. Perhaps you can share it on your instragram and if you do, don't forget to hashtag #daokia HEH :3

I can haz mustache too in conjunction with Movember :{D
Thanks again for such warm hospitality, we definitely enjoyed our soy dessert experience in Dao Kia!

We were too stuffed after lunch and the dessert earlier so we didn't get to try these cute steamed buns.
It's pretty easy to locate them, just find for the big Dao Kia signage (: but they have quite limited seats and I noticed most of the patrons take away their dessert.

They have outlets in Tropicana City Mall & Kota Damansara as well and another one opening soon in Sunway Pyramid. Come grab your delectable and refreshing soy dessert at the nearest Dao Kia today, happiness guaranteed (;
