Home sweet home

Greetings from the other side of Msia

It's been more than 48 hours since I'm home and everything has been great so far! I'm so occupied till I don't even have a time to blog lol but still I wouldn't prefer to be anywhere but here. The last time I was home was 8 months ago so that pretty much explains how eager and excited I am to be home! Just so you know, I'm from Bintulu, Sarawak not Sabah (I don't get people who tend to get mixed up between these two states lol) nor KL cause people seem to think that I'm local from KL HAHA So in case you never bother to pay attention in Geography in high school, Bintulu is famous for the liquified natural gas and fertilizers! For more details, click here and Uncle Wiki will come to the rescue wtf

Maybe I should start my own Sarawak story (cheap version of My Selangor Story haha) during this 28 days of holidays of mine. No harm to make good use of it :D and that suggest spending time with the family, hanging out with my high school mates and my BFF, food hunting and jogging too, I srsly need to lose some weight T___T

My Mondays have never been so great yet yesterday was exceptional. Kicked start my Monday with a bowl of Laksa for breakfast with my dad and my younger sister (:

Laksa Sarawak originates from Kuching and of course you can only find the best one there but you can actually find it anywhere in Sarawak. It's nothing compared to Asam Laksa from Penang or even Curry Mee cause it tastes totally different. It taste more sambal-ish and spicy.

It is served with prawns, chicken strips, egg and vermicelli (or known as mee hoon)

You are not eligible to call yourself a Sarawakian if this is not in one of your favourite food list!!

Next, I would like to introduce you to Megan! :D You will happen to see her name quite often if you're following my twitter. She is my younger sister who is only 7 years old this year but she speaks and acts like an adult, annoying much.

The annoying brat who is also my favourite partner in crime

Moving on, bringing you on a tour around the Bintulu town.

Pasar Utama Bintulu; Dry and wet market where you can get your groceries and poultry~

Espalanade Bintulu - The place where the annual celebrations (Christmas Carol, New Year Countdown and etc) take place; I've never join any of those here though HAHA

The biggest temple in Bintulu and this is the side view of it LOL

She haz small eyes lol

Tamu Bintulu where you can get lots of local products such as belacan, cencaluk and bananas :D

So that's pretty much it. A really small town which obviously bores you out DUH and there's only one decent mall available here but there's nothing to shop too HAHA you must be surprised how can I survived in such a place. So I'll usually spend my time lazing at home LOL

Later that night, we had steamboat at home (Y)

The chili that I made myself and Dad said it was really good *wide grin*

She volunteered to pose for the camera HAHAHAHAHAHAH swt

Just nice for the four of us, too bad the elder sister couldn't join us T__T

Beef strips FTW!!

Everyone enjoyed the dinner and that sum up my great Monday.

P/S: I didn't know this post will be this post will be this long :P Thanks for reading anyway!
P/P/S: The BFF from NZ is back in Msia too, she'll be arriving on Thursday and I can't wait to meet up with her alrdy

xx

My exhubby is Sarawakian too, but she can't eat spicy food, she only like pepper. I don't think she can take up the laksa you mean as the favorite sarawakian food.
