Flying Chillies

I've always love spicy food but too bad the boyf couldn't take spicy food but I'm lucky to have friends (most of them) that appreciate spicy food, like really spicy food. This post is not about the chili plants I had at home or chilies that can fly, but it's a restaurant that may sound western, but you can be certain that authentic Thai food is served here. Kew recommended us to dine here last Wednesday so it's Joeann and my first time here, while it's Kew's third time. She sure know good hot stuff (;

#1. The menu in red.

#2. "HOSPITALITY WITH A HERT"

#3. The clean and sleek looking interior of the restaurant(Y)

#4. Everything looks so elegant in white, loving those lamps!

#5. Comfy long benches with pillows, they have al fresco dining area as well.

#6. Jasmine Green Tea; RM8 per pot (Refillable)

Now moving on to the dishes we had that night! :D

#7. Green Curry Chicken (Chef's recommendation) ; RM16
The portion may look small but it's enough for the three of us. The gravy is thick and creamy, goes well with the rice. Besides tender chicken thigh fillet, it has long beans, green peas and loads of chilies. Spicy! Can't get enough, definitely one of the best green curry I ever had!

#8. Stir Fried Minced Chicken with Hot Basil Leaves (Chef's recommendation) ; RM 16
If you love basil leaves, then you'll definitely like this dish.

#9. Spicy tomyam soup with seafood (Chef's recommendation) ; RM 12.90
The highlight of the meal. Thai food wouldn't be complete without a bowl of explosive tomyam! You should have a sip of this before started eating cause it's really appetizing. The tomyam comes with a generous amount of prawns, squid rings and fishcakes. Sips after sips, you will slowly feel the burning sensation. This dish is highly recommended(!) or you can try their famous Flying Chillies Fire Pot Tom Yam.

#10 Fragant Thai Jasmine White Rice; RM2.50
#11. These three dishes are more than enough for portion of 3 pax.

#12. The killer chili padi :O

#13. Nothing beats hot tea after a fulfilling dinner.

#14. Those spicy food gives me a runny nose!

#15. Meet the tea mixer expert :P

#16. Hot tea definitely helps in getting rid the spicyness!

#17. We were too full to lift our butt and leave so we stayed there a little while and camwhore LOL

#18. It sure is simply Thailicious; couldn't agree more!

If you're a Thai/Spicy Food lover, this place is a must-go although the total damage was quite pricey for students like us but it will be worth a try once in a while. I wonder if we can bring our own white rice HAHA Oh and we even met Elaine Daly dining here, sitting at the table opposite us (; So, don't miss out!
