New Paris Restaurant @ SS2 PJ

Oh hi, I'm back again after a busy weekend! *waves*

After so much rounds of Korean and Japanese food, we finally get the chance to have a some proper Chinese food So last Wednesday night, the bunch and I decided to dine at New Paris Restaurant as well as to celebrate Val's belated birthday (: I guess everyone would have known this famous restaurant in SS2 especially among the locals for its super fast service and cheap yet delicious food! Once you've placed our order, food comes in  less than 10 minutes even when it's packed, I kid you not (Y)
Their simple menu, with various dishes named in Chinese and English nicely categorized along with the prices of 3 different portion; small medium & large.
#1. Kam Cheong Lala
Definitely one of the best Kam Heong Lala I've ever had, rich in flavour and aroma and the clams are pretty huge. Love having the gravy with hot steaming rice YUMSSS
#2. Stir Fried Baby Kailan
We were all surprised when this dish was served. I don't remember baby kailan looks like this O_O
#3. Stir Fried Pork with Salted Fish
A simple dish with generous amount of sliced pork and salted fish, nothing much to shout about.

#4. Deep Fried Sotong
It was not hot when it was served :/ and the texture was quite hard and difficult to chew. Not crunchy at all. I would prefer fried sotong rings instead.

#5. Birthday Noodle
We were actually expecting a bowl of mee sua cause that's what usually people have during their birthdays but this noodle turns out pretty good (: Only available at two portion, RM15 and RM25 respectively.

#6. Tofu with minced meat
Definitely my fave dish of the night; soft homemade beancurd topped with minced meat and gravy. How I wish I had the whole dish of tofu for myself :B

#7. Stir Fried Snow Pea Shoots
Crispy and delectable! I prefer this than the baby kailan earlier :D
Introducing one of their signature dish;
#8. Champagne Chicken with Watermelon
This, my friend, is the highlight of the night! I've got to say that it is such a unique dish in terms of the taste and the presentation of it, so cute right?! Not sure if they actually allocated one watermelon for each, because there are 14 of us that night and 14 watermelon balls are served.

The chicken is marinated with sweet and sour sauce and it is served on a carved watermelon. Along with the sweet and juicy watermelon balls, making this extraordinary dish full of flavour :P It would be even better if they gave us more chicken.
A group shot excluding me before we dig in! :D With the CNY decoration on the wall, it made us feel like we're having a CNY reunion dinner *cues CNY songs in the background*

Birthday girl officiating the birthday noodles :P

Happy belated birthday, Val!
The candles blowing and cake cutting ceremony after that~

Our fave Japanese Chocolate Cheese cake from Berry's Cake House in SS2! We always buy this for most of our classmates' birthday :P

Birthday girl feeling all happy that night (:

Total damage of the night; which was pretty shocking that it was less than RM200 :O We ordered 8 dishes and it's less than RM15 per person! Seriously I dont think I can get this cheap from other Chinese restaurants around this area. We all know how expensive it is when it comes to eating out in Chinese restaurants.

The wall of a section in the first floor are all filled with these kind of paintings. Painting of flowing water believes to bring more wealth!

The first floor is fully air conditioned and it can fit up to 20 tables.

Ground floor is more like an open space, you can see those cooks cooking through that glass.

So if you're finding a restaurant that provides a fast food service with affordable price, this will be a good choice! I will definitely come back here again for another round of dinner with the bunch, probably even visit them once a month :D cause I certainly can't live without Chinese food like this. I can haz Chinese food in Paris yaw LOL
